A new standard in gas engines

With the 51/60G MAN Diesel & Turbo brings the benefits of gas engines to power and co-generation plants with electrical outputs of 100 to 300 MW, a category previously dominated by gas turbines.

The 51/60G is available in a V-engine version with 18 cylinders and an electrical genset output of 18,654 kW. This output – 1,036 per cylinder for 50 and 60 Hz power generation – gives the 51/60G best-in-class power density among gas engines.

Derived from the proven 48/60 diesel engine platform, the 51/60G uses a state-of-the-art ignition system in combination with a scavenged pre-chamber. This guarantees stable and reliable ignition of the lean air/gas mixture and low emissions.
